Pengembangan Sistem Virtual Manufaktur Sebagai Pendukung Teknologi Dalam Visualisasi dari Desain Pemesinan Silinderis

Pada penelitian ini, desain untuk manufaktur pemesinan (Design For Manufacture Machining)mengacu kepada metode Boothroyd, Design For Manufacture and Assembly dengan mengintegrasikan metode
virtual maufaktur pemesinan. Sistem DFM pemesinan digunakan untuk analisis dan evaluasi pemesinan dan
sistem VM pemesinan digunakan sebagai pendukung teknologi dalam visualisasi dari desain pemesinan.
Metode yang terintegrasi disebut metode PDMI (Product Development Machining Based on Information).
Perangkat lunak pendukung dari PDMI adalah Visual Basic 6.0, Virtual Reality Modeling Language 97 (VRMl ‘97),
Cosmoplayer 2.1.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode PDMI terdiri dari tiga pilar utama, yaitu konsep
pemesinan, teknik pemesinan dan sistem visualisasi pemesinan adalah integrasi yang mudah digunakan (user
frendly) dan kemampuan PDMI yang masih terbatas karena integrasi dari DFM pemesinan dan VM pemesinan
masih perlu dikembangkan dengan menggunakan beberapa perangkat lunak lainnya yang bisa secara homogen
berintregrasi.
