Abstract

Transportasi air adalah transportasi satu-satunya yang dapat digunakan menuju ke pulau-pulau
dan pesisir yang ada di Indonesia yang jumlahnya lebih dari 5000 pulau, jarang sekali ada transportasi
darat dan udara untuk menuju ke daerah tersebut. Kota Tembilahan adalah pintu untuk menuju Singapora
dan Malaysia serta daerah pesisir Provinsi Riau, Provinsi Jambi serta menuju pulau-pulau yang ada di
Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Salah satu jalur yang paling ramai adalah rute Tembilahan – Kuala Enok. Namun,
tempat duduk penumpang speed boat rute Tembilahan – Kuala Enok belum dirancang berdasarkan
pertimbangan ergonomi sehingga menimbulkan keluhan subjektif dan ketidaknyamanan penumpang.
Penelitian ini melakukan evaluasi ergonomi terhadap tempat duduk penumpang speed boat rute
Tembilahan – Kuala Enok. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mewawancarai penumpang speed boat
terhadap keluhan-keluhan yang mereka alami ketika berkendara dan setelah berkendara. Dari penelitian ini
dapat disimpulkan Speed boat rute Tembilahan – Kuala Enok tidak ergonomis atau tidak memperhatikan
aspek kenyamanan penumpang.
