Analisis Kualitas Produk dengan Pengaturan Parameter Temperatur Injeksi Material Plastik Polypropylene (PP) Pada Proses Injection Molding

Proses injection molding merupakan salah satu proses pembentukan plastik yang banyak dilakukan. Permasalahan yang sering dialami pada proses ini adalah terjadinya kualitas produk yang jelek akibat terjadinya cacat pada produk. Hal ini dapat memperlambat proses produksi dan meningkatkan biaya produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh paramater temperatur injeksi terhadap kualitas produk penyangga gantungan lemari pakaian. Produk terbuat dari jenis material thermoplastik yaitu polypropylene (PP). Proses injeksi menggunakan mesin injeksi manual sistem toggle dengan variasi temperatur injeksi 160, 165, dan 170oC. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada temperatur injeksi 160 dan 165 oC, kualitas produk masih belum terbentuk sempurna akibat masih banyak cacat yang terjadi. Produk terjadi sempurna pada temperatur injeksi 170 oC. Temperatur injeksi di bawah temperatur leleh akan mengakibatkan cacat lebih dominan terjadi. Cacat-cacat yang terjadi pada proses injeksi produk plastik penyangga gantungan hanger untuk lemari adalah short shot, jetting, flashing, sink mark dan shrinkage.
