Penggunaan Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Untuk Perencanaan Kebutuhan Bahan Baku Pada PT. XYZ

PT XYZ bergerak dibidang funiture, dengan tingkat produksi yang terbilang cukup tinggi dan waktu rentang pemesanan yang cukup pendek. Maka, perencanaan bahan baku mutlak diperlukan guna menjamin lancarnya proses produksi. Permasalahan antara lain Sering terjadi penumpukan bahan baku. Tidak ada jadwal pembelian bahan baku. Hal ini tanpa disadari perusahaan akan menimbulkan kerugiankerugian, baik berupa kerusakan bahan bila terlalu lama disimpan dan menimbulkan masalah biaya-biaya yang seharusnya dapat diminimalisasi. Semua kegiatan perencanaan kebutuhan bahan baku pada PT XYZ harus ditentukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan, untuk itu ditentukan perencanaan kebutuhan bahan baku dengan menggunakan MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Tahapan MRP yang dilakukan antara lain: Pembuatan Bill Of Material,Pembuatan struktur produk,Peramalan: metode kuadratis, metode siklis, regresi linear,MPS (Master Planning Schedule) , Membuat skema produksi,Membuat Struktur Produk,Perencanaan Bahan Baku, Penjadwalan induk produksi, Perhitungan kebutuhan bahan baku dengan metode Lot For Lot (LFL), metode Least Unit Cost (LUC). Data sekunder yang diambil di perusahaan adalah data penjualan dan bahan baku kitchen set. Perencanaaan bahan baku dibutuhkan peramalan penjualan bulan berikutnya dengan metode siklis. Hasil perhitungan perencanaan bahan baku pada PT XYZ diperoleh ramalan produksi perbulannya 7 unit kitchen set dengan waktu pemesanan rata-rata 3 bulan sekali
